Ray of Light is a young cremello colt destined for greatness. He is arguably one of the best double dilute colts in Australia, possibly the world, with many top breeders of purebred Arabians admiring his correct conformation and beauty.
Ray of Light has been shown sparingly for the following results:
2007 Australian National Championships - Top Five 2/3 Year Old Partbred Any Sex
2006 UPWDBA Mid-North Coast Championships - Supreme Led Exhibit
2006 Manning Valley Colourama - Supreme Led Exhibit
2006 Manning Valley All Breeds Spring Show - Champion White Horse, Champion Arabian Derivative Colt/Stallion
2006 East Coast Arabian Championships - Reseve Champion Yearling Partbred Colt
2005 UPWDBA NSW/ACT Championships - Champion White Colt & Champion Double Registered
Ray of Light is the product of mating National and East Coast Champion Amaki's Impressionist back to his mother Amaki's Golden Imp, herself a National Champion and East Coast Reserve Champion Partbred Mare. Golden Imp had not had a foal for eight years, and when a suitable mate could not be found for her she was bred back to her son. During the pregnancy, the life of Amaki's Impressionist was tragically cut short...a disaster for our fledgling stud.
Dark times followed, and the stud was almost dispersed before it had even begun. Hope came in the form of of a telephone call. David recieved that call from King Estate early on the morning of December ninth, his birthday, to give him the good news...Golden Imp had foaled. Earlier agreements with Adam forbade him telling us the details of the birth., however these rules were soon abolished and moments later the extra special good news was shared... she had foaled a cremello colt, the only cremello colt by Amaki's Impressionist to have ever been born. Quite possibly the best birthday present anyone could wish for. The birth of this miracle colt was truly a 'ray of light' and a representation of what the future could bring.
Ray of Light will be standing at public stud to a restricted number of outside mares this season. AI (preferred) and Natural Service available.
