Amaki's Rabecca has been a late starter, having not really done anything until having her first foal at 18 years of age. Rabecca was the first mare purchased by Diamond Road Arabians when gold fever struck. Amaki’s Rabecca has produced one foal for the stud, a magnificent buckskin colt by Amaki's Impressionist named Ishtaas Ibn Impressionist. Ibn Impressionist is enjoying a very successful show career in Victoria, and his first foals are due in 2007.
Rabecca has never been shown or broken in, though it is through no fault of her own. Served for the first time at 17 years old, she went in foal straight away and proved to be a very good mother. We are extremely excited about the contribution this beautiful mare will now make to our stud. At 20 years old she still looks and acts like a five year old. She is quite naughty and always the last to come in to be rugged, however once caught is as sweet as a lamb.
This mare has what we think is a perfect palomino colour, a deep gold which does not fade in winter teamed with a beautiful creamy white mane and tail. She is quite a nervous mare with people she doesn't know, probably due to the fact that she had very little handling before coming to Diamond Road. These days however, with her tail bag, rugs and hoods, she is part of the Diamond Road family and has come to trust us completely.
