Taani's Joy is a beautiful mare by the Rafter G. imported stallion R.G Perseus, and is out of Taani Bint Naadirah, Naadirah's first daughter by Mustafa.
Taani Bint Naadirah foundered not long after Taani's Joy birth, and it wasn't long before the beautiful old mare could no longer stand and TJ was forced to get down on her knee's for a drink. Nature took its course, and at six weeks of age TJ was an orphan. Raised by the late David Kemp of the famous Homeleigh Arabians in Victoria, it wasn't long before she ran the farm.
Taani's Joy brings to the broodmare herd a long, well shaped neck and spectacular movement. She is only a small mare, however posseses great personality and plenty of 'snort'. Like many hand-raised horses, she prefers the company of humans...as a special treat on weekends the mares are often left to graze around the house, and on more than one occasion we have found TJ coming in through the back door.
Taani's Joy has produced one foal, a colt named Raaj who has the honour of being the last son of Mustafa. She will be bred this season, however her greatest feat of late has been the fact she has just been broken in, at 16 years of age!
