Tarlea Ellabrandi (AU)

Tarlea Ellabrandi is by Sanadik Ibn Estopa from the Fairview Klassique daughter Karisma. She is one of Australia's premier broodmares, producing a line of very successful horses at Syrah Arabians. Vanessa Crosland, owner of Syrah Arabians remembers "I first saw Tarlea Ellabrandi in the yearling class at the Yarra Valley Show in 2002. As she was foaled at the end of March, she was very immature at the time but exquisite. My filly was Champion that day, but I sought out her breeder and owner, Leanne Randle, to congratulate her on breeding Brandi'.

Tarlea Ellabrandi joined Syrah in 2004 and has been a superb producer, particularly with Valor. This cross has produced the superstar and 2011 Australian National Champion Stallion Eklipse, the 2012 Australian National Champion Junior Gelding Exalt, the East Coast Champion and Australian National Reserve Champion Emphatik and the Victorian Classic Winner Exotica.

Upon the dispersal of Syrah Arabians, we were thrilled to be able to acquire this magnificent broodmare and two of her daughters. We greatly admire her Polish damline...she traces back to the imported mare Kasbah (GB), herself a daughter of Gerwazy and the great Polish show mare Karramba, who was winning championships in England well into her twenties. Kasbah was also the dam of Hideaway Farms great show mare Katrika (by Rasmoniet RSI).

Unfortunately for us, Ellabrandi and her daughter Exotika did not suit the sub-tropical climate at our farm, and so now they live in Victoria again. Before she left, Ellabrandi foaled an exquisite colt by Naajmir for us, before making her way back to Melbourne to live with our great friends at Victoria Park.
