Pianosa was one of Pinia's (Probat x Pilarka by Palas) very few foals, one of only two daughters. After being named Bialka Spring Show Junior Champion Filly and Reserve Polish National Champion Mare, as well as giving Janow *Pinaissima as her first foal, Pianosa died at age ten leaving an orphan colt by Al Adeed Al Shaqab, named Paladid. Before her premature departure she gave birth to Passionaria, a full sister to *Pianissima. Many breeders worlwide believe that when you are standing next to *Pianissima, there was unquestionably no finer Arabian mare, on the planet. Pianosa should have graced the pastures and broodmare barns of Janow far longer than she did. Sometimes it simply doesn't happen that way. Remember it was Howie Kale Jr. who recently reminded us on film that these unfortunate moments unfortunately occurr as it was Howie who said an early goodbye to another great Polish mare, Triple Crown winning halter mare, *Dornaba - she was only nine.
